East Liverpool is known as "America's Hometown" and has enjoyed the distinction of being the "Pottery Capital of the World" for the past 150 years.
Clay was discoved in the area in the mid 1800's and more than 200 pottery factories bloomed across the city. Situated in the heart of the tri-state area, where Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio share the great Ohio River, East Liverpool can be reached by car or Motor Coach in under 40 minutes from Pittsburgh, PA, and just an hour's drive from Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Ohio; Wheeling, WV; Beaver Valley and Washington, PA.
